Default Vintage meet- St Ives/Sydney 14th Febuary

This has been a long time coming but with news of the old 89' WORLDS' track soon to be torn up to make way for a more 'up to date' circuit we have just one last chance at enjoying some racing with cars from a by-gone era.
This Febuary 14th will be the very last opportunity to hold a 'vintage' off road meeting before the old 1989 worlds circuit is gone from us forever.
For anyone that knows this track they will also know that this may well be one of the last 'vintage friendly' tracks left in our part of the world and with this being the home of the 89' worlds what better time to hold a meeting than 20 years after that event on the very same circuit with many of the same cars used way back when!
I'll be making the 1800km round trip in my trusty ute and I'll be taking pretty much every vintage buggy i own for a massive display. There will soon be an anouncement on 'RCTECH forums' with the specifics but Im looking forward to seeing those who can make it. This will be one of the biggest things for vintage in this country.

That sounds like a most fitting way to draw the curtain on that particular stage.
I am lucky enough to have raced there in 89 but I can't make the trip this time round from the UK
Be sure to give a Pro-Cat one last airing on what was its debut venue and be sure to say hi to the track from me...

Although the weather kept the clubs computer in the shed and not out on the track we still decided to brave the wet conditions and run the cars we brang anyway.
Needless to say we all had a ball, mud and all!

It seemed like such a dull day with the rain clowds lurking near by it was a wonder we got such a great lot of old buggies out on display at all. I guess it goes to show that there are some great vintage cars around still today and the scene here in Australia is definately growing...
