Ema did me a scan of the tower before but Stephen didn't feel confident he could match it up accurately but he did say if I could get hold of one to send over then he'd be happy to make a template. Let me know if you're serious and I'll fire an email over to Stephen to let him know I've found a donor!
Update time.... Fibrelyte now have the Teamline front mount on file and mine is in the post. I have also asked Stephen if he can add it to the website.

Interestingly Stephen has seen the mount before. They had one lying around but never knew who made it or where it came from. They sold it on.....quite possibly to someone on this thread

That was quite possibly me :-)
It was made in purple twill weave carbon, Stephen sent me a pic of some old towers he had lying around as part of my last order and I picked that one. I had no idea what it was till the Teamline tower was sent to him recently.
There will be another in my current order in regular weave

I'm trying to install the VTS slipper onto the RW100 tooth white spur and its just not happening, the cutout on the spur seems to be too small.
James, any tricks I need to know about?

Dan,

Send me a pic of the spur as there are a few versions. Do you have an identical 100 tooth B4 spur or does it have a bearing hole? Needs to be an exact b4 spur 100t.

its the ones that you sent me, have the holes for the ZX centre diff balls and I believe does have the hole for the centre bearing as its loose on the shaft.
So these two spurs are now useless to me, where do I get the correct one from, do I get a different RW spur or just a genuine Associated spur?

OK so I pulled the B4 spur off my Mid and all went together perfectly, though now I realise that I don't have a collar for the spring lol
So, I am guessing these spurs you sent me are to use with the stock ZX-R layshaft, what pieces do I need to make it all work, I may as well put those spurs on my friends Tub runner I am building with a stock layshaft, or would they work better with a ZX layshaft, I have one of those here too
Is the clutch cover on the VTS slipper alloy or steel, I wouldn't mind having it anodised blue instead of black if possible

Dan,

Thought i sent you one b4 spur with the other versions as well. I kept burning out the pads on the spurs with a powerful motor using the normal zxr layshaft. Still i guess others do use with a 10.5 or so motor. Thats why i went for redesigning the layshaft with Rama. If you can wait a month im going to buy a few spurs from RW as i need a favour from him, so we can sort out costs then.

Hi James
I only got the two spurs that work with the stock layshaft. My friends car won't be brushless so should be fine, I assume would still be better than stock parts. Do I need to put an associated pad on one or both sides, I forget what the deal was
I'm OK to wait a month for the spur, put me down for two, I think it will make sense to have a spare on hand

Dan

Dan,

I used the sc10 high torque pads and yes on both sides of the pad. You could use the stock spur but need to cut the sc10 pads to the same size to the zxr mk1 slipper pad design.

No worries will get you a couple and is worth while having a spare especially when you race on dirt. I would recomend using tape around your gear cover to stop dirt getting into that area.

OK that makes sense, seeing as you still use the original kyosho clutch hubs that means that you don't really use all of the slipper pad which probably explains why they wore out quickly.
Appreciate your help with the spurs

Is a ZX layshaft with a reverse one-way basically the same thing as a ZX-R layshaft?
