Default Speed passion pro 1.1 issues/ cuts off

I recently bought a reventon pro 1.1 with a v3 speed passion 6.5t motor combo after my hobbywing v3 died.

I have installed mod2 onto the esc.
Current setup is

Lipo cutoff 3.0v
Overheat protection enabled 95c
abs brake 100%
Drag brake 10%
Ddrs level 5
Timing 26.75deg maxed out

This is all installed in a dex410 v3.
21t pinion 87spur.

I first ran it at lower timing but car seemed a bit slow especially down the straight so increased the timing to maximum which did improve things.

On both 5 minutes heats, the esc thermalled after 3 minutes.
Unfortunately I didn't bring the programming card to adjust the perameters. And even if I did I could only decrease rhe timing which would make the car slow.

There was no binding in the drive train.

Having run hobbywing for the last 4 years without any of these issues, I'm rather disappointed with speed passion reventon pro.

I have been advised to ditch the mod2 firmware for the stock1 with hybrid boost but that was specifically designed for on road circuit racing.

Anybody else had issues with mod2 firmware thermalling in a 4wd buggy?

Any help please

Regards

James

That's odd, I have the same combo in my yokomo and ran it for the first time today. All I did was add reverse, add lvc and increase the break. It ran well throughout the day and I had zero heat issues. Maybe reset it back to stock settings?

Switch thermal protection off.
Switch lvc off.
Test them both manually.
Then set a timer on your tx.

The two cut outs on the rev pro are incredibly sensitive/crap.
