6.5T vs 7.5T
Hello guys,
right now I'm looking for a brushless motor for my 1:10 off-road and can't decide how many turns should I get. I have a really good deal on Trinity Nemesis 7.5T. Over here in Lithuania, people mostly run 6.5 motors. A track where I race is really big and has a long straight. Is it a big difference between 7.5 and 6.5 motors? What do you think about Xerun 6.5 motor? Thanks |

What speedo do you have? (And what car, 2wd/4wd?)
If it has boost and turbo available (one or other, or both) the difference between 6.5 and 7.5 is almost negligible, little bit of fiddling with the gearing and you should be good to go. I've dropped from 6.5 to 8.5 recently (on a 4wd) and noticed no massive difference in top end. But control on the wiggly bits is improved. |

I don't think that that motor has onboard timing either. Its an older motor as well.
THe hobbywing motors are really good and as mattr said if your esc is up to it then either won't matter. But what happens if you go to a smaller low traction track? There you would need a lower T motor probably |

Well, i'm thinking about running my Xerun 120A 1s SD V2.1 esc. Car is 4wd. The surface of the track is pretty dusty clay. I'm thinking about getting SkyRC TS120. As far as I know, alot of people are very happy with it. But first gonna try to run with xerun.

Will that 1c esc handle 2c let alone a 4wd buggy?

Hobby wing say it is up to the task.
you'll definitely be needing a fan tho! |

Yea it will. Hobbywing says it's capable of running 2s with fan and motor up up 5.5T so I think there shouldn't be any problems.

Oh. as for the xerun motor, if it's anything like the other Chinese motors (trackstar etc) it'll be fine.
