Default Modified BRCA approved motors for 2014 regionals

Hi All,

I cannot see my T motor listed on here: http://www.brca.org/sites/www.brca.o...0v2%20pdf4.pdf

I am running a 7.5T & 6.5T HPI. There is a 8.5T listed in the above PDF doc but not the two winds I am running. Does this mean I cannot run both of the motors I have for the regionals?

Cheers
Simon

At the top of the doc in the title it says 'Wind Any'. So any wind for any of the motors listed I guess.

It also says the picture is illustration only so providing.

So providing it looks as the image but with a 7.5T or 6.5T in your case I would imagine you will be fine.

Great thanks. It says "Y Wind" is supported so I take this as any modified wind.

Didn't want to have to buy new motors as very please with these - esp the 7.5T as it doesn't get very hot even with the boost turned up.

Cheers
Simon

Simon, your over analysing this!

If your motor is on the list as described by motor builder, Type/Range and looks as near dammit the same as the picture you'll be fine to run it at any BRCA event in any winding you like.

For your information the Y wind refers to how the wire is wound internally within the motor, you also get Delta style winding.

The T relates to the number of turns, ie 7.5T etc and basically denotes how fast the motor goes. The lower the T number the faster the motor.
