Default Does the Surpass Hobby Rocket 160A ESC accept HW firmware?

Anyone know if the Surpass Hobby Rocket 160A accept Hobbywing firmwar and if its programmable using a Hobbywing box?

No it doesnt. It needs its own programme box and has a different firmware. I'm talking about the latest v2, I assume the older one is the same.

Ok, guess I have to stop being cheap and just buy a Hobbywing xr10
Don't want to juggle a bunch of different boxes for different ESCs

my experience is the opposite, the HW LCD prog card works fine with the rocket 160a V2.

Just wish they would all offer USB programming support.

Yeah, I picked up a rocket 160aV2 and an 8.5t rocket v5 for my girls Xray XB4 new for a super cheap promo.

I already have the XR10 for my own 4wd and have the LCD, plugged it up and working fine to set everything to lowest points and set punch to 1.

I'll dig everything out and get a pic, sometime between being a single dad to my 4 kids
