Hobbywing 8th speedo's
HOBBYWING XERUN SCT PRO
Anyone got one or run one? For the price they've got to be worth it. Who distributes them in the UK? anyone? or is it just overseas stuff? |

I have run two 1/8 hobbywing for 2 years in sun rain and snow in two buggies. Never had a single fault. Brilliant.

I must say, the spec's look bloody good. And at the price they are, you could get 2 combo's for the price of some of the more expensive systems.
Just noticed that the new HPI 8th system is the same but rebadged and recoloured, but only 80A rather than 120A...and more expensive. |

Got the hobbywing sc8 combo in my rc8, awesome. Super quick even on 4s and geared down.

Last season I ran the hobbywing XErun 80a system in my losi 8ight-E with the 2250kv motor combo. I highly rate the systems and at £120 brand new including LCD program box it's well priced.
I ran it on 4s for an entire season as well as the odd park bash and it never got too hot or stressed, definitely one I'd recommend. |

I too like Jamie ran the HW 80a and 2250kv motor, have not raced it yet but been using for a while and its very easy to set up and goes very well.
2250kv is a bit much , If I was buying again I would go for the HW SC or 80/150A ESC for a Leopard 1800kv motor, perfect for 4s and good run times. A club member as Faversham has run an XB8 with a HW SC and Leopard 1800kv motor, been raced and going strong after a season. Tel if you like a read, go on rctech.net under electric off road section, loads of info on 8th HW ESC's |

not racing, but running it at a track. great value i think. its a 2700kv, so its really only a 4s option which is fine for me. think im running 13/44 and it still flies!

Cheers dudes!
Just confirming what I was thinking....I think lol Looks like it might be the one, even if its not the newer pro version, the 80A seems to be fine. |
