Default Kevin Lee takes double win at oOple series round one

The opening round of the oOple 'oOoos' series kicked off this weekend at Stotfold and despite poor weather leading up to the race, the oOple magic brought out the sun.

Kev Lee with his new Team C rides virtually dominated the meeting. Taking the TQ and Win in both 2WD and 4WD buggy. James Mcfadyean meanwhile took the fun and frantic RC10 classic controlled class - with Jim Dixon second and Nick Gurnelll third overall.,

It was a fantastic weekend and huge thanks to the Stotfold club for having us and putting in a lot of work to make the event work smoothly.

If you want to race the series then get your entry in - and don't forget the Invernational race!

As an Oople series newbie I would like to thank all involved for a superb weekend of fun (in spite of my own short comings as both driver and car builder).

It's really nice to attend a family friendly race event where egos and attitudes are left at home.

Recommend these meetings to anyone who just wants to have a go.....

Thanks Bigalbi, that's exactly what we aim to do and it's helped by all the racers being a lot more chilled out!

Cheers guys!

Two words to sum the weekend up

Bloody Awesome

Even the weather played ball, was not expecting to get sunburn after seeing the forcast, big well done to the oOple team the local club and John price for sitting on race control all weekend.
More than pleased with my own results and loved the morning start times, felt far more refreshed!

Great weekend and a well run meeting. Thanks to all the team who put in the time and effort to make these events so successful and worth the long drive down and very tedious drive back up the road. Looking forward to round 3. Mendip is a drive too far for us Jocks.....

I almost cried at my first BRCA national - and I was about 28 lol. I think the series is awesome since I just don't give a stuff about being serious and never have! I'm sure people would agree haha.

Huge thanks to the oOple crew to a wonderful event. It was the first big meeting for me and my son (12) and we had a blast. Fergus was made up to win the 4wd E final and I really enjoyed the relaxed racing and will try to plan my year better to do more rounds.
