Default warm lipo hard case

Hi i'm currently running my TLR 22 with a Mamba Max 7700kV set up. I've just been out for around 10-15 minutes running the car on tarmac and grass in my cul-de-sac. I have the ESC to cut off the Lipo at 6V and it ran fine, but noticed the cells were very warm and have ever so slightly swollen. They are Intellect saddles 35c 5000mah. Should i bin them and buy some more? I realise there isn't much cooling in the 22 and i have cut the screen out by about an inch up and across.
Just checked the Voltage, one cell is 3.49V, the other is 3.57V. They are always balance charged using an Etronix power pal.

Cheers

Lee

I have the same problem on my Ansmann X2C the lipos at the end of a run (15 to 20 minutes) are always warm and a bit sowllen. But once they cool down they get to the normal size, I don`t know if that is normal

Happens to mine that are running at a C rate that's running near the limit of what my motor draws.
If the battery discharge rate (Ah x C) is increased you'll find the battery remains cooler running on the same combo'.
