Default mix and match

hi

can you run a brushed motor with a sensorless brushless esc ?

i want to use the brushless esc as it has a cut off cos im running lipo's

been told that i would have to race my 13t ezrun brushless with the 10.5 guys and as a newbie thats a bit to much for me

As far as I know a brushless only esc will not run brushed, quite different technologies.

You'll need an esc that specifically states it will run brushed, some do run both but not all.

Brushless is a 3 phase motor...with 3 wires.
Brushed is a dc motor...with only 2 wires.

I don't know enough about the inner workings of esc's to know any more detail, but pretty sure that's the case!

allot of the ezrun sets are advatised as being able to run brushed but i dont know what the limit is it should be writen in the instructions somewhere
