Default A video clip of how to harden you own diff outdrives etc

Thought this might be useful. Just need a blow torch,a clamping device and a container of oil or water(also optional safety gloves and glasses!).
Spoke to Steve B a couple of weeks ago and he hadn't heard of this method of hardening steel parts. I took some new out drives to a metal shop and they performed this method for me and I put new the outdrives in last weekend.
I had it done the dipping in the water method but it might work better if dunked in oil instead as they went abit rusty because the anadized paint had come off(just needs to be cleaned after with a wire brush!).

Worth a try and could save alot of money on buying new drive steel parts which get worn quick with all the power of brushless motors these days!.
