Default Mad Monkey Shock upgrade

Hey guys

I'm going to race my MadMonkey next summer and having already ballraced the chassis I thought I'd invest in some new shocks.

Can anyone tell me if these team c big bores are suitable for my chassis??

Also any thoughts on setup etc would be great. I have a photon 13.0 turn 3000kv which I know is slow but I don't think my skill level will cope with much more!!

For tyres I was thinking Dboots multibyte rear and blockpass on the front for running on grass.

If those shocks are ok I'll pick up the tuning springs as well and look out for some turnbuckles as well.

The shocks are spot on, id say get the plastic shock caps, makes building them easier having the bleed screw...

I can dig out a set up that i use on my TC02C... Turnbuckle wise, i think ansmann do a set for around £10, not titanium but cheap and adjustable...

Where abouts are gou based? I use losi 22 springs on my cars, there's more options available!

Default Shock upgrade

I've fitted some fastrax alloy shocks to the front of our monkeys and they seem to be doing the job well. Apex models sell them, part number FAST166 for the front. (75mm). I had to replace the plastic part that sits between the shock tower and the shock with a couple of metal nuts but it works.

My Monkey has TRF aeration shocks on it. Plastic ones were dire, and these were all i had lying around. I have the team c ali shocks on my tco2t though and once I swapped out the o rings they were leak free.
