Default 17.5T boosted gear ratio advice

Hi I'm planning to try 17.5T boosted on a small carpet track with my TC I'm after some advice what would be a good starting ratio

Try fdr of 5.5 and then go lower if need be.

Outdoor I've heard of 3.5 or lower with 17.5

All depends on temperatures.

I wouldn't start that low in boosted, do you mean blinky?
It all depends what motor /ESC you have, and what suits the track layout
If it is boosted look at 6-7FDR and adjust boost/turbo to suit the track layout check motor temps after a few laps
If blinky start at 4.5 FDR and adjust EBT up a few degrees each practice check temps and reduce FDR if you need a bit more on the straight

I ran blinky last week at 4.5 so I will start boosted about 6.0 and go from there
