Yep. Both are TA04 chassis. I'm reclaiming my eurocup glory days

The left one was a kit standard shelf queen that I've hopped up to almost Pro spec, and the one on the right was a used ebay find that simply needed a bit of a clean up with some serpent cleaning gum.

I'm on the lookout for ball diffs for the GT spec chassis, and I'm planning on using it for a bit of 13.5t touring car racing

If you know anyone who has a couple of TA04 ball diffs knocking around I'd be happy to hear from them.

My TA04 is all ready to go too. Bought from eBay and rebuilt with a few new goodies and a bit of TLC...

Before:

After:

I'm going to enter GT class, although she's a bit light on hop-ups for the class, but I don't currently have the budget for buying another motor & ESC for this. Besides, I'm only in it for the fun.
Still a bit of a way to go, need a lipo & charger, bodyshell, wheels & tyres... Hopefully get it all sorted in time!

There are a good number of entries for Broxtowe and we think more will enter nearer to the date and also after Round 1 at West London.

Trophies at both rounds but entrants attending both will have the chance to lift the Iconic Cup! (Cups for each class)

Fantastic days racing today. Despite struggling with the stock tourer! Well done and cheers to wlrc and iconicrc on a well organised, relaxed and most importantly fun day! Can't wait for Broxtowe!!

Agreed. It was awesome. Took me back to the 'good old days' for sure!

The racing was close and there was always a battle to be had. I miss the eurocup!

A job very well done for round 1 and a huge thanks to West London and to the entrants. £396 was raised in the raffle and that goes straight to Parkinson's UK.

There's an album of 365 photos uploaded to the IconicRC facebook group.

Round 2 at Broxtowe is coming up and you can enter online here:

Cheers. John

I honestly cannot wait for the Broxtowe meeting, I have waited for years in hope that the Eurocup would re-emerge in some form or another.

It's a pity there is only two rounds but from the photos I've seen on FB it looked like a great days racing, shame I missed round 1.

I'll be racing in M-chassis and Tamiya Touring car, I do have a couple of questions about the Touring car class.

1. What dampers and springs can I use?
2. Is the alloy prop shaft allowed on the TT-01?

You can use any commercially available springs and dampers, and the alloy prop shaft is ok. That's as per the rules as I read them, and what I did

All going well, the Iconic Cup will be expanded next year. West London was a huge success and Broxtowe will be too without a doubt.

This year was always going to be a test to gauge interest, hence just the 2 rounds.

For next year, the rules will be tweaked where appropriate (maybe not at all) and then I hope to expand the Cup to either 3 or 4 rounds. Best 2 of 3 to count or best 2 of 4 to count. I already have another track in mind and WLRC and BMCC will get first dibs.
