More set ups from the team. This time I have one from Paul Upton who was pretty pleased with the way his 22 2.0 performed last night at the Silverstone Club night. He said the short rear link really helped to get the car out of the turn but if pushed too hard it would step out.

Are there any set-ups available from the 2014 TLR team from the Kiddy, Southport national or regional venues?

This forum has been a bit silent lately, so I figured I'd share my latest setup to keep activity up a bit
This setup is from a large beautiful track an hour away from Trondheim, where minipins are the tire of choice, and we held the third round of our national series. In attendance was EOS A-main finalist Joakim Nicolaisen among many others, and he took the TQ after the three qualifiers. I made a few stupid mistakes, but knew I could be faster. For the finals got to pressure him to do some big mistakes, and I won the first two finals to get the overall win. The car was absolutely awesome, this was my first race since moving the battery forward. I even ran the standard body. In the third main I tested the Cab forward, and drove faster, but the standard looked so cool:P Coming home from the race, my girlfriend had bought this t-shirt while I was away, hehe... https://teamsmallsize.files.wordpres...d_mai20153.pdf

Yes, it is a fantastic track! It has full floodlights so you can drive any time, night or day!
Now I have also changed the setup link to one that actually works as well

Plenty of time for practice then with the flood lights!!
Might have to give your set-up a go as the last two rounds of our regional series are on astro and we are allowed to run mini pins which makes a change for us. This is my current set-up which has helped me to win the first two rounds of the BRCA East of England Regional Championship. Both tracks are grass, but one is tight, twisty and bumpy while the other was much more open and smooth. I can't create a PDF set-up sheet small enough to upload so hope the below makes sense. Front Toe - 0 degree Ride Height – 19mm Camber - -1 degree Caster - 5 degree Trail - 4mm Kick angle - 25 degree Sway Bar - N/A Oil - 37.5 Piston - 3 x 1.45mm tapered piston Spring - Green Front Pivot - Aluminium Kick Shim - Brass Shock Limiters - 2mm Shock Location - 2 - outside on 22 2.0 wishbone Bump Steer - 1mm standard ball stud Steering Ackerman – 1mm low ball stud Camber Link - 1 with 2mm and B (outside) with 1mm Spindle Location - 1mm top and bottom Rear Chassis Config - Mid Motor Toe - 3 degree Anti Squat - 2 degree Roll center - low (LRC) Ride height - 19mm Camber - -2 degree Rear hub spacing - 3mm front & 1 mm rear Hex width - +1.5mm Sway bar - N/A Oil - 32.5wt Piston - 3 x 1.55mm tapered Spring - Standard white or low Freq yellow Shock limiters - none, shock bottom unscrewed two turns Camber Link - 1 with 1mm and D with 2mm Shock location - 2 - Inside Wing - JConcepts Finnisher with 3mm wickerbill Bettery position - shorty up against stumpy servo Notes: TLR Bellcrank steering -2.5mm chassis TLR side pod weights Vampire Type ABplus V2 7turn geared 24/78 Avid Triad slipper clutch Tires Dry: Front- GRP bludog in B Compound Rear - Schumacher Mini Spike in yellow compound with GRP white insert Wet Front - Schumacher Low Profile Cut Stagger in Green Rear - Ballistic Buggy Spike in green compound with MR O standard insert

Hmm. If I run that little pack on pins, it bottoms out everywhere...
Thanks for sharing your setup, it's interesting to see what others are doing in Europe, and after Jimmy has left us, I feel we should all contribute to keep this great place alive for him

The tracks I have raced on so far this year haven't really had any large jump, as shown here http://www.oople.com/forums/showthread.php?t=168224 , although I'm likely to require more pack at the next few venues we head off to.
I believe something like: Front: 2 x 1.6mm 35wt Black Spring Rear 2 x 1.8mm 32.5wt Red Spring Is also proving pretty popular with the UK TLR team from looking on the Horizon UK facebook page.

I have run the rear weight kit in the past, but tended to find that the rear end wanted to carry on rotating when entering a corner. If it's really slippy from rain/frost over the winter I tend to resort to Maifields dirt set-up from Surf City, but run Avid purple front springs instead of the kyosho ones mentioned on the TLR website.
