best thing to do is put custom painted rc bodyshell into google and look at some of the sites that come up, thats how i get my ideas if i'm in a 'can't be arsed' mood.

on a little shell, you don't want to have a too 'fussy' a design or too many colours, it ends up looking like u puked in your shell.

If you got chrome wheels, could always do a 'pimping' shell!!!

I Have decided to go for a blue and white design. But it says on the blue it needs backing but what do i back it with. Do i back it with a silver to make it look shiny or what do you think.

This is the blue i like its by custom colour are custom colour any good??

if you back the blue with silver, it will make the colour as it should, if you back it with white, it will lighten it just a little, if you back it with black, it will darken it.

The only time it will go shinny is if you spray a candy blue then back it with chrome.

....as dcm said realy, I'm not a big fan of custom colour realy. It does tend to be a bit 'brittle' sometimes.
I quite like the tamiya transparent blue(the darker of the two), if you're looking for a nice blue, backed with alclad chrome.

www.spazstix.co.uk it isn't cheap, but it is by far the best I have used, and the aerosol is better than the bottle stuff, it adhere's better.
