Seriously £125?!!

I know it looks great but there are so many body painters out there who would do that for so much less. I think my painter could easily do that and he only charges me £25.....

Ha ha that's Rockers he's a member on here but has been quiet for a while. Until you've got one in had you can't really say it is or isn't, yes you could get it done cheeper but I don't know the quality of it so can't say it is worth it or not.
I've got a body that Trung in the US pinted he sells them for $100 plus shipping but we traded for parts I had.
You have to factor in body price and time, it take him 8hr per Masami body so in that case it's not a bad price.

You can always take the cheap option.

You can spend as little or as much as you want, and there are many painters who will paint it for less, and others that will cost more.

Thats ridiculous pricing. I pay less than a ton for a very intricate Kifo design, including the shell, and the Masami is pretty straight laced by todays latex mask standards.

Cleaning the airbrush between colours probably take longer than painting the whole shell and the design is a very basic one tbh.

Mine cost £40 for paint job and £20 for the shell. Or you could buy the original from Masamis dad as he is selling one of his RC10s

Nope, most probably a duplicate car for himself or selling on behalf of his son.

Prob just having a clear out, was looking at the site last night I don't think any of the cars are big winners just test cars and club cars etc...I think in the day he ran quite a few cars! to them its loft filler,,,to vintage fans it's gold

As for shell price at the start of the thread to be fair its best offer, he knows what its worth, vintage stuff is so all over the place price wise you can't blame him for having a go, If I bought a new green kokomo plastic wing and a new wing wire kit all BNIP to go with it on Ebay at the min, I would spend 150quid

You only need to ask and I'll do you a deal on the wing

That CAT looks just like the one he ran before changing to the black/red/yellow XL in 1987!

And if you watch the vid he does a victory lap with a Japanese flag attached with the green cat after he won, I always thought it was a SWB not an XL?

I would loved to have had possession of that CAT also! The prices seemed reasonable given their pedigree/history?

That bodyshell on ebay is way overpriced in my opinion - especially as in my opinion its not the best job (look at the less-than-crisp lines on the multi-coloured side detail) I know Puppy Paint did a Viper body in this design fairly recently & I know he wouldn't anywhere near this amount!
