Default Undercar rattle ?

Our 2006 1.8diesel FordFocus Estate has developed a rattle over bumps that seems to come from under the car, bumpy roads with the windows open the noise bounces in at you, is this common or just the heat shields around the exhaust ? had it up the local garage on the ramps & banged everything but all major bits seemed good, could it be in the exhaust ? anyone know about these?

Might be the cat is starting to break down inside, Pretty common and they do rattle.

my 2006 1.6 focus rattled like that over bumps and constantly when driving at 70+ on motorway, i found it to be the plastic front inner arch rattling against the wing,i just loosend the screws moved it so it wasnt touching arch and its been ok ever since, but it could be the cat or the baffles in backbox
