Yes that's Steve Bass and yes he's writting the report for RRCi, as I was busy racing and running around with the video man to make a DVD of the event.
Photos will be used from Steve, myself, Anthony Barra and used in the magazine report, then all will be released to Cosie for him to use as he sees fit, as per previous two events.
Some pics and text have been sent to CML for use on their web site and I see they've already posted them.

Nice to see you Jimmy and Vicky, didn't know you'd blagged Olly's Blaze, you jammy boy !
Keep up the good work.

Dez

UK Micro Challenge - REPORT

Nice to meet you also Dez - you did a good job with all the organising and making the event what it was. All the sponsors made it rather cool - three of us went down and all three of us came back with a prize of some sort and free magazines! bargain!

Wow amazing report.

Thank you so much Vicky and Jimmy! A lot of effort goes into reports of that quality but we all appreciate it!

Great day! Was good to qualify overall 6th in the brushed A-final but in my
finals i got stuffed after first few corners and was left on my roof in 10th
After a marshall rescued me i pulled it up to 7th. A bit gutted that i got
turned over and left behind but that was going to spoil my great day!

Good job Cris!!
LOVING the pictures Jimmy & ammazing report

Cheers mate - I quite fancy one of the Blaze cars now, Just don't think I'd have time to race it really.

Some nice pics there Jimmy and Vicky, even some of my car, not often that happens I can tell you, you probably have the same problem, millions of pics of everyone elses car and none of your own.

Go on get a Blaze if you can, and find a local mid week club to play with, my local club in Leamington are a great laugh and having a mid week highlight really helps break up a long week.

See you again soon I hope.

Dez.

Hehe, yeah Glypo got some nice ones of my car on sunday - but it's not often I get a photo I must say.
I am fancying one more and more - I saw LRP do a 'team' version with some hopups and a clear shell - is there a BLAZE like this? or do I have to get a ARTR version and upgrade it / buy a shell?

Even if I only got to race in the kitchen it would still be ace. I've got a mini Frog and vickys RC18t - but they aren't a patch on the Blaze I raced. Just what I need - another car to add to the 50 others piled up in the kitchen

The Blaze ARTR needs few upgrades, in fact most just make it heavier so get the alloy hubs, carbon steering link and alloy drive shafts and you have one super sturdy race car, the rest of the options are upto you, like the graphite tub and such like which save weight, but the ball diffs are certainly worth a look as they let you dial in the handling beautifully.

Yeah I noticed one or two with loads of alloy on their cars - not really good for racing... Might sell a couple of things (like the mini frog) and get a blaze - not sure there's any where to race it round here but I'd be up for the micro challenge again.

Get steel CVD's from FTX..the alloy ones are poo and bend so easily.

Im working on UKMC4 so rest assured it will happen aswell as the Series lol
