Yes it was but when you are a teenager you do daft things. Still it was funny.

just goes to prove you need low entry speed and high power/revs. 4wd would be best though as it would provide lift on all four corners, think a smell fin running length ways under the chassis would help with directional stability too. once made an rc car that went on water, it had propeller though so nowhere near as spectacular. there used to be a video on youtube of a bloke crossing a lake on a snowmobile, racing against one of the icelandic supercars, that was awesome to watch

I did actually start gathering some bits for this build- but then forgot about it!
Those proline sandpaws look like a good idea - anyone know who sells them in the UK?

There was a vid on Tamiyaclub, where Volksrod drove his Jugg 2 across a pond, sort of floated because of the Jumbo tyres, quite funny.
Sorry don`t have the clip though. |

A tamiya Durga would be an Ideal car for this build. I've got a 3.5 losi combo and an old lipo but my durga is a bit too nice now to use. I've always wanted to do the water skimming with an rc car. If I can get all the gear together there's a good chance I'll have a crack at this. I've had a nosram brushless speedo fully submerged when my boat sank and it still worked once it was dry and same goes for the losi system.
