Default Best blinky setup?

Fancy doing some 2d racing and was wondering what is the best esc/motor combo to use in blinky? I'd be interested in hearing about peoples comp and budget setups. I don't want to buy too cheap and get blown away down the straights, but bearing in mind it would only be club racing.

Thanks

Ian

what is 2d racing ?
do you mean 2wd off road ?

a bit more info may help the gurus with advice

general advice is the right tyres and a decent sent up of your chosen vehicle plus lots of racing will reap far more benefit then the "best blinky set up"

Especially at club level the gain of the best equipment is always far outweighed by "ability" .I have seen many a driver with suppossedly inferior equipment out perform the latest and greatest in technology because of his knowledge and ability with the uquipment to hand

regards Dave

Should have been more clear, touring car!

It's seems to be very dependant on the motor/esc to be competitive.

Team wave are good cheaper so is the speed passion v4 motor
High end d4 seem good

Esc as long as its80/90 Amps or higher there isn't much difference

I run a gforce t160 esc with speed passion v4

But the Lrp esc is most popular at my track
