Default Centro c4.1 woe's...help required!..

Got a c4.1 conversion off eBay and I'm trying to build it,first off the rear inner hinge pins are too long so I cut them to size, but now I've just found that the gearbox ain't as straight forward a conversion..I haven't got the long screws to bolt the gear case together and when I cobbled some in the top shaft sticks out way too far..so when I put the gear cover on the spur gear hits the gear cover?..am I missing something?..I'm using a b4.1ft as the doner car

Have a look through the manual to see if you've got all the parts to start with
