Exclamation Round 1 Coventry

what is in hand regarding the weather? dirt track with rain equals MUD. Will it be switched to the astro track and when will the call be made to do so? Dont fancy blowing up electrics. Cheers.

I'll be going to the track tomorrow afternoon.

I'll post afterwards to let people know how the track is looking, at the moment I'm still expecting to be on the dirt.

I've just got back from the track and unfortunately at present the dirt track is currently not usable due to standing water. I’m not expecting the track to dry enough before Sunday with more rain forecast for tonight/tomorrow.

I’m going to have to move the meeting onto our Astro track, sorry for the late change.

Hope to see you tomorrow for practice or Sunday for race day.

Paul

We are here at Coventry and it will be defo on astro as there is 2 in of standing water between some of the jumps. The astro is not to wet at all it is a nice circuit. The weather at them moment is dry but there looks like some small showers are looming.

Big thanks tothe Coventry Crew for running today's opening round of the 2012 SCT National Series.

Was an interesting one with the weather conditions changing but thoroughly enjoyed the racing

The meeting definitely highlights the need for some tyres to be developed for Wet Astro conditions for UK racing but was good to see the old faithful Fastrax Kourse Kings being used in abundance.

Great to see good attendance at the opener from the SCT fanatics and brilliant to have some new and the usual SCT regular faces at the event.

Roll on the next round

Yeah, great meeting. Enjoyed the track layout and the qualifying, finals were a nightmare for me though. Curse you positive battery wire!! lol

With regards to tyres I am wondering what has happened to the schumacher silver SCT tyres which were being tested at the end of last summer. I reckon they would be good in the wet.

Dboots Multibytes maybe good in the wet? I can safely say that AKA cityblocks aren't

You really don't want to see the overall finishing positions Rob...

all i'll say is

i'm sure there were Schuey Silvers in testing but didn't see production... the Yellows balloon enough but nothing some belting tape wouldn't sort.

Softer Kourse Kings might be the way too
