Stick TC for lmp racing
I am looking to buy a new stick transmitter to start racing LMP, but don't really want to spend £400 plus on Sanwa , KO or Futaba. Are the likes of Core RC or Etronix just not up to the job?

They will get you started, but their ergonomics, response and reliability aren't up there with Sanwa, KO and Futaba. If you can afford it I would try to at least get a mid-range one or a used one.

The transmitter is the one thing connecting you to your car, so it's always worth spending as much as you can on getting a quality item. A fast response time is especially key in something like 1/12. It's hard to stress the difference in feel between a cheap transmitter and a high end transmitter without experiencing it first hand.

Sanwa Gemini X, you can generally pick them up for about £100 second hand with a receiver. When we started out we used the Etronix Pulse Pro but did find that on the odd occasion we'd experience a bit of interference and feels like there's a slight bit of lag with throttle and steering input.

As said by lee, the gemini X would suit well enough, i know people who have used them for a long time.
