Default DB2 Gear Diff

As the title, has anyone tried a gear diff in their DB2 contemplating getting one would just like feedback from those who have used one.

Thanks
Chris

Only used my DB2 a couple of times, but last time ran a Durango gear diff with 2k oil, and for me it was a big improvement. This is on what I'd class as a medium grip carpet/wood at Maritime raceway.

I've run a gear diff at many venues.
There are some places where there is a small advantage but the car is harder to drive. Quicker yes but harder.
10k Kyosho oil on high grip is really good and 5k or even 3k on lower grip is good too.
Hope that helps a little

I run mine with 5, Kyosho diff. It did add a bit of weight, especially comparing the new outdrives and whole LAW50 to the old plastic outdrives and ball diff but I actually like it.

A bit harder to drive yes, considering how light the rear of the car is you got more chance of diffing out when powering at corner exit but it is bit quicker on power.

Didn't you lose a lot of steering running 10k Tony ?

I'd class it as medium, its indoors on carpet and wood at maritime racing. There's YouTube videos of all the nights racing, worth a look
