Default X2C 1968 24H Le Mans Winner Tribute

Just finished my X2C. The body art is a tribute to the Gulf Ford GT40 Mk I, winner of the 24 hours of Le Mans (the first of the "Gulf" GT40 to win the race). I've used many hop up items: FULL OPTION Super Duty rear shock tower, ATOMIC CARBON front shock tower, TEAM C kevlar front chassis, diff gear and 80T spur gear, TEAM C 28T POM Gear, TEAM C alu front castle block and rear brace mount, BFAST full differential system, AR alu hex hub and turnbuckle set, TEAM ASSOCIATED front and rear factory team shocks with silver springs, SCHUMACHER Mini Spike Yellow front (dremeled) and rear tyres, all the screws are from HEXCREWS (HexHeads High Strenght). For the electronics I use an AR Xirius Race brushless set (10T), a VAMPIRE RACING 40C 4400 saddle pack and a SAVOX SC-1251MG low profile servo.
This week end my X2C will hit the race track for the first practice sessions!!!!

To deano261

for the gulf stickers (logos & stripes) you can find'em on ebay uk item 150467098979 (from screenprintdigital), while the difficult part was finding the right blue. I mixed Tamiya PS-1 (white) with PS-3 (light blue) till I found the correct shade of blue.
I hope it helped

Hello,

This is my modified racing Ansmann Mad Rat. I race it at standart class, which run with sealed can brushed 23T motors. Also from this season we use 2S lipos for this class. Previously we used nimh batteries.

Specs:
Motor: LRP Blast S10 23T sealed can brushed;
ESC: Novak GTS;
Servo: BMS-617MG+HS super fast servo (Mos-FET) for competition 6.8kg / .10sec / 46g
Batteries: Zippy 4000mah 20-30C or Turnigy Nano-Tech 5300 30-60C;
Rear tyres: Pro-Line M3 caliber;
Front tyres: Jconcepts slim Barcode (blue compound);
Wheels: Ansmann aftermarket yellow rims

Tuning:
Caster racing SK10 buggy shocks with soft (blue) springs;
Steel adjustable turnbuckles;
Ceramic diff balls;
Weights on servo for front grip;
Dual cooling fan with radiator on motor (not visible in photos);
6mm thick aluminium 12mm wheel hexes;
AE rear lexan wing;

I use 24-25 pinion for our low traction, bumpy outdoor dirt off-road tracks with stock spur.

And here is my Ansmann XTpro stadium truck. I use it mainly for training sessions and bashing. The model is whole box stock.

Specs:
Motor: "Reely" brushless inrunner 3500kv
ESC: "Reely" 30A;
Servo: cheap HXT 10kg.
Batteries: Same as in Rat
Rear tyres: Pro-Line M3 caliber truck;
Front tyres: Pro-Line M3 edge truck;

And here are photos of both models:

any reason you chose the mad monkey chassis, or is purly because you use stick packs instead of saddles?
