We are pleased to announce the summer dates for the TORCH Club Summer series 2017

The dates are as follows:-

Summer Round 1 - 2nd April

Summer Round 3 - 23rd July
Summer Round 4 - 3rd September
Summer Round 5 - 1st October

Best 3 of 5 rounds to count. 1/10th off-road 2wd and 4wd classes will be running. If we have enough juniors on the race day then we will have a heat for them.

There is no control tyre for the summer.

As we have some newer members here is a tyre summary of what seems to work at TORCH:-

DRY
Normally on dry days the Schumacher yellow compound on the rear is the best and Mini Darts in this compound work very well and have longer life than the Mini Spike 2. For the front in 2wd the Schumacher Stagger or cut stagger is the best choice and for 4wd you have the option of the Schumacher 4wd wide cut stagger, mini spike or mini spike slim in yellow.

WET
On wet days Ballistic Buggy Green Mini Spike is the best tyre on the rear for both 2 and 4wd, Schumacher Mini Spike silver rears do work but do not have as much side bite as the Ballistic Buggy. For the front in 2wd Schumacher silver cut Staggers or Schumacher Slim 2wd Mini Spike green are a good choice. For 4wd Ballistic Buggy green Mini Spike green on the front or maybe the Schumacher silver wide cut Stagger are good options.

HTH

Looking forward to seeing you track side.

Thanks, exactly what I needed

Hope to get to the winter series round at the end of the month and become a regular at the summer series.
