Ok, the two 4wd heats are now taken up but I will be adding a third so not pressure for the 4wd's .

Plenty of space for many drivers.

UPDATE:

I have decided to add a special Junior class to the days events. This is aimed at novice young drivers, kids who cant really compete with the adults in terms of track presence and racing lines etc.

This will be open to any form of 1/10th off road buggy/truck/monster truck/truggy etc. Bascially it can be what they run in the back garden.

The general point of view is to get them racing at a meeting to feel part of it and get experience under there belt.

I know they'll be at least 4 already in this class (aged 5,5, 8 and 10 years) so feel free to bring your youngsters along.

Please let me know if you would like your son/daughter to enter

Outlaw Class:

Due to demend (and lack of!) the Short Course Heats have been changed to 'Outlaw Class'. This can be ANY Truggy or Truck in 1/10th scale

With this change we can field at least one heat, maybe 2

Ok, just an update:

There will be 2wd and 4wd classes running that will be on FASTRAX CONTROL TYRES only at the Fastrax GP on June 19th.

There WILL be a Short Course / Truggy race due to the numbers now booked in.

There WILL also be a Junior / Novice class running on the day, this is after the successful running of today's heat. IF YOUR CHILD WANTS TO RUN IN THIS CLASS PLEASE LET ME KNOW. Novice class will be reduced entry and on any tyres to save on costs.

So it will be a busy day with 4 class being run.

Cafe WILL be open from early doors serving all food and drinks (Hot and Cold).

Full format will be published in due course.

Hi,

No, not the full layout. There will be an extension added and also a revised layout with a little track work to do done next week.

(What's your trouble anyway, you ROCKED it at the last shootout round )

Think its only fair we change it a bit

No probs with current layout at all. Just curious if it was to be changed in advance, as it would be nice to have a practice in advance on a new layout.

So sounds like we will have a day or so to do this.

On the track work, the only think I believe needs doing is something for the straight so 2WD cars can nail it a little more and the entry to the straight. Either way not fussed as it is the same for everyone. But would make it easier to drive that section for some drivers.

Otherwise

That's EXACTLY to area's that I'll be working on next week after the Shootout round in prep for the weekend of the 19th.

First corner and last corner will be reworked smooth or repaired. I might need to fill/compact/seed and cover with a small piece of astro for the racing and then uncover afterwards to settle. So yes, both those area's will be sorted, I love a bit of welly too!.

The track will also be a little bit longer which should help

Maybe think about burying some chicken wire over the areas that cut up badly for the grass to grow through. We did that at a previous club and that helped the situation immensely

Even though it is advertised as grass track, would still be a good to have a little Astro Turf as a permanent feature and for variety.

Ori.

Not really, you dont have to dig it in, just peg it down with wire loops about the same thickness as coat hanger wire and the grass will grow through it. Doesnt have to be everywhere, just the areas that break up like the braking bumps on the first corner. A bit flat out building cars at work at the moment but always willing to pop down and give you a hand with some track maintainance for a few hours when I have some spare time

2wd isnt full buddy . None of the heats are full...... if they get full, we'll add MORE!

I wrote 2 x 4wd heats are now full, so I'm adding a 3rd. Re read this myself and it does sound like 2wd is full, which it isnt

Want in for you and Craig? Drop me an email to racing@shrccc.co.uk

Fastrax tyres have arrived!.

I will bring them to the Tuesday club meeting. If you have paid already you are welcome to collect your FREE SET of tyres to take away for mounting and glueing. If people want to pay on Tuesday for the fastrax event they can take theirs too. Only people who have paid will get tyres before the meeting.

MK Racing will have FASTRAX tyres to buying on the day (and also normal stocks at the shop pre and post race)

Tyres can also be collected next tuesday as well
