Default TRF511 arms question??

Can somebody tell me what are the part numbers for the front and rear arms everyone is using for racing their 511's. I remember reading somewhere that the stock arms are no good because they are too weak and break, and that I should switch them out for stronger ones that Tamiya makes. The only problem is I dont know which ones are the best ones?? Can someone please give me the part numbers for the super strong arms for front and rear for TRF511. Thanks for the help!

I use the kit arms front and rear, they sometimes crack but i havent broken one all this season - the thicker ones are from the 501x but i prefer a wishbone to crack than to bend something else so stick to the kit items.

Are the arms included in the DB01R kit the same as the arms included in the TRF511 kit? The reason why I'm asking is because I own both kits and I'm getting ready to build them. I think I'm going to build the DB01R first.

Nope, they are 51311 and 51313. They fit and are the same design but are plastic.

Simon from RCLazy did a video on this subject a while ago ( how do you embed videos here ! ? )

Guys, I am 100% sure the db01R uses the high traction trf511 wishbones
54141 and 54142.( the thinest but carbon reinforced ).

The standard db01 ( not the R version) uses 51311 and 51313. ( thicker 501x mould but plastic). The strongest would be the standard 501x wishbones 51275 and 51279.( thick and carbon reinforced ).

Now to throw a bit more in the mix you can also get a high traction soft arm 54283 ( the thinest type as 54141 but plastic not carbon reinforced ) but these seem to only be available for the front and not the rear hope this helps

I previously explained a little about the different types of arms and which we stock in another thread, here it is again:

"We list 3 different types of front arms, a brief explanation of each:

1. 54141 is the high traction stiffer type front arm which doesn't flex and offers good grip, but is more prone to breakage when hit.

2. 54283 is a softer type which does allow a lot more flex and when it does break doesn't shatter but instead cracks.

3. 51275 is a medium grade arm but has 20-30% more material and is visibly thicker to look at. This is a good strong front lower arm that offers a compromise of the 2 above."
Hope this helps you in choosing a suitable part.

You are correct pugs, DB01R comes with same arms as the 511.

And then you have the DN01 Rear lower arm #51449.
So, you have 4 different arms to choose from. Both front and rear.

Front:
TRF501X "carbon" arms (#51275)
DB01 "plastic" arms (#51311)
DB01 High traction arms (#54141)
DB01 High traction soft arms (#54283)

Rear:
TRF501X "carbon" arms (#51279)
DB01 "plastic" arms (#51313)
DB01 High traction arms (#54142)
DN01 "plastic" arms (#51449)
