Take it the credit control business is quiet today
Rather than "STOCK", the 10.5 class will be called "CLUBMAN".
Stock suggests that the cars are out-of-the-box standard.

One more good A final result could see Horgan taking a the championship lead!!!! Not bad for a first season!

it's always quiet when you're ahead of the game like me! if only i was able to get in another run before the outdoor season finishes... i'll be in manchester this weekend and then the knee operation next week will see me out of action for a few weeks!

It is being proposed that the last round of the outdoor championship is held on OCTOBER 3rd.

Trophies can then be presented on October 7th at the AGM.

It means that the new track in the Naul could be built over the weekend of Octobe 16/17

Anyone agree/disagree?

Not to sure but would that mean on that weekend there will be two racing meeting, Taney on the saturday and lucan on the sunday?

I am looking at this as from that date onwards there will be a possibitly of three racing meeting a week between now and christmas, would there be enough people for the club to be able to run both venue untill the date when taney ends.

As I don't race touring cars or have anything to do with racing at Taney, I don't want to comment on this.

I appreciate that if the club left Taney, that it would never get back in. I also appreciate that 100 euro a week for 4 hours use of the hall by a minority of club members may not be sustainable either. Best just to see what attendence is like, and make a decision at Xmas time.

Hi all,

Results from yesterday have now been added to www.dublinmodelracing.com.

In 4wd, William White and Michael Bolger had a very close day from start to finish with White being the eventual victor. Second place for Bolger means that Michael O'Leary can now not be challenged for the title - ie.
Michael O'Leary is 4wd Champion for 2010
well done Michael, the title is well deserved.

The race for the 2wd championship is going down to the wire! Michael Bolger TQ'd and won the event on Sunday drawing him up to only 1 point from the leader William White. Importantly, Bolger now has the same amount of Tq+Win combinations as White - so Bolger will require an A-Final win to draw the championship and a TQ+Win to take it....... this is going to be a close one!!!

In the clubman class;

Dave Bolger's season long domination of the championship continues with only Jerry Delgado now being able to threaten a class win considering Dan Horgan is out of action after having something gross done to his knee (hope to see you back to full strength asap!). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i8EpT3uCVWU (Not for the feint-hearted).

2 points seperated Dave and Jerry, so it all comes down to the last round!

The championship is now over!! It was the best in years - but it's upwards and onwards for next year.
I'll have the results up tonight.

Championship prizegiving is Thursday October 7th @ 7.30pm in Taney Parish Hall, Dundrum, Dublin 14

Please let Mick/Dave/Ian/myself know if you cannot make it....
