Hi Will,

Just to confirm I can supply a decent camera which will record to an external hard drive so no tape

We can have a chat about maybe making a little promo video of the event

I can do any filming for any heats/finals I'm not in if I'm free (ie it depends how often the big table top eats the front end of my b4 )

Also if you want any editing or after effects graphics like slash screens or perhaps some on-screen timing (should be possible to get all the data from bbk and parse it into AE to draw up some live results boards that could be overlaid onto the video - f1 style positions/splits).

Hi,

Sounds good, I think the best thing to do is we can copy the raw footage files at the end of the event to an external HD, would you have a HD you can bring? You can then work your magic on the footage.

Depending on how the day goes I'd like to get some general shots of the location, shots of lads setting up, shots of cars etc. We can then decide on the best way to shoot the finals & hopefully get the prize giving etc.

My plan is to put together a 2-3 min. promo piece that the club can use to promote the sport etc. I've done lots of these type of things & we need to encourage lads to smile & wave at the camera otherwise you get grumpy, disinterested faces appearing on screen, not good for PR

The main thing is that everybody has a bit of crack & enjoys themselves

Kevin

Hi all,

Hopefully that's the end of the snow. Roads should be fine by 28th.
Happy Christmas

A few of the lads live out in that part of the world. So we'll be getting them to keep us all updated on the state of the roads.

I hope the roads improve, don't fancy the drive down if they are as bad as the ones around the border here are

3 leg A finals would be cool if there was time, or even 2!
