true, but I broke a fibrelyte rear carbon tower the week before. thought of getting the standard fibrelyte ZX rear carbon tower as they seem stronger than the 3 hole design you did for the ZX.

Make it thicker and then it should be ok. Also nice alloy mount

Do you make a Spur Gear Cover?

Maybe also chamfer those parts where the screws holding the upper plate to the upper deck mount, in case someone wants to run stickpacks for vintage's sake?

chamfer or make it thinner ? as far as I know chamfering wont help with stick packs unless that part is made thinner by 1mm.

I am sorry, I do not make anything associated with polycarbonate or bodies, there are already so many people doing that like TBG, Marwan and Kamtec.

I was thinking of increasing the surface area where the shocks mount. Because it seems to be rather thin at that side to save on weight, I presume that's why it broke. I will be coming out with my own drawing for rear ZX-R tower based on your design with some tweaks.

How about a belt conversion for the Optima rear transmission? So omitting the center gear, using a pulley with teeth to accommodate a belt instead of the metal gear that sits on the layshaft, and replace the half of the rear diff that has teeth, with a part that accepts a belt. This might eliminate the risk on grinding teeth on the center gear and diff, and be more quiet and maybe more efficient too.

You could use a Triumph ball diff as the belt pulley is full width of the diff
The only catch is its a finer pitch like lazer belts. A Lazer pulley will fit the front gearbox but you will need to get a front belt that is the finer pitch. Because the drive pulley on the layshaft will be small diameter like a Lazer its probably best to move to a finer pitch belt anyway

That might work, but I would prefer something less invasive. Like you find out the gears are wrecked and need replacing, but instead you slip in belt conversion kit, replace the wrecked diff half, slide off the metal, gear, replace with custom pulley, place the belt, maybe add an idler roller to keep the belt free of the inner side of the gear case, and close it up.

Any update on the layshaft for the Lazer and what Associated parts would I need to build the full slipper?
