Default SWB CAT project

I've finally found the time to start work on my Short Wheelbase CAT in the last couple of days, so I thought I'd share with you all!

I'm really enjoying the build, brings back memories from 25+ years ago!
Shocks and anti-roll bars next.

The car will use mostly new parts and will be original and mint condition if I can find a few more bits...

Still need four or more new T045 Pivot balls, some mint condition black wheels, and some new or good condition white nylon upper shock mount bushes (A230 & A208), PM if you can help out with these please.

Wow! Thats looking lovely... you can tell that is mostly new by the crispness of al the parts

You are putting me to shame Nigel - my Procat project seems to be going sideways rather than forwards!

Default Its coming along...

Nearly there now.
A few finishing touches to do, wing wire, lexan bits, battery clamps etc and then I'll have to decide how to paint it

Thats looking stunning Nigel!

Did you ever race the SWB version back in the day? I've often wondered how the short & narrow car would handle?

I have never raced a SWB.
As a kid my first Schumacher was an XL which was quite quickly widened to XLS spec.
I am tempted to build a SWB runner, think I've got most of the bits I would need.
It's just a matter of finding the time to indulge myself!

Looks fab
I remember my swb cat being very twitchy & hard work to drive, switched to a mid before going to the xls which was just awesome
Still think the swb is the best looking car schumacher ever made, got to be box art white imo, looking forward to seeing it finished

Looks amazing mate - really good job.

And cant believe you used the old pan-head slotted screws!! - now that really is keeping it old school

Good luck with the build.
