Exclamation Astro Winter Masters Round 1: 11/10/14

Hi all,

Not long now until the first round of the SRCMCC Astro Winter Masters Series 2014-15 which we hope to be bigger and better than the previous years championships!

The timings for the event can be confirmed as the following:
  • 06:50 - Doors Open (no earlier!)
  • 07:00 - Booking In Opens
  • 07:10 - Practice Round 1 begins (3 minutes in heat order)
  • 07:45 - Booking In Closes
  • 08:05 - Practice Round 2 begins (3 minutes in heat order)
  • 09:00 - Drivers Briefing (all drivers required in front of rostrum)
  • 09:15 - Racing Starts - Round 1
  • 15:30 - Finals begin
  • 17:00 - Meeting Finished
These times are a guide only and may be adjusted at Organisers discretion, but will not be earlier than stated!

To achieve these times, once the meeting has begun, we will be running the computer on Automatic, so a quick turn around between heats is required and no delays!

Drivers are required to place cars on scruiteneering table after race has finished and straight out to marshall!

The 3x classes we are running at the meeting will be in the following order:

Heat 1 - Short Course & Stadium Trucks
Heat 2-3 - 4wd
Heat 4-13 - 2wd

We look forward to having you all race with us this weekend at what we plan to be a great event!

Kind regards,

SRCMCC

I assume that we still have to run front shock protectors?

Yes front shock protectors are still required for all meetings at Silverstone. Whilst the astro has started to get a few holes in it (mainly from loose screws) the shock protectors have certainly helped reduce damage.

Thank you all so much for your help packing away, I'm completely overwhelmed!

Not my greatest days racing as usual at stone, but hope all enjoyed our efforts.

Thanks again,

Matt

Very well put Sam!
I'd like to echo all of that.
Today was a great event!!
Loved the track and the relaxed but competative vibe.

Hi, I am wanting to make contact with Paul Upton who I was told could take my name as a reserve for the indoor winter series round 2 meeting on 8th November. I was told on Tuesday night 21st Oct (last night) that 2wd was fully booked but there maybe a space if someone pulls out but Paul manages the list??. Can anyone help / advise or pass on my number to Paul so I can be considered or can make an application to race if a space is still available. Thanks Stephen Johnson 07714188025.
