You will need the 25mm one, the 30mm is too big!

Stock fan is 30mm wide, optional smaller one is 25mm, think the 25mm one is thicker though.

Right at the moment i have the std black novak fan, from what i can you you just put the screws through the fan and slide it into the heatsink fins? Will 2 screws just slid in hold it? Can i just put the fan straight on or do i need to put some plastic washers inbetween? I feel like such a noob

30mm much more fan i use.

i took out the washers and screwed it straight to the heatsink as it was a squeeze in the ZX5.
I also wired it to the 7.2v of the speedo for extra air shifting in the 4wd. In the B4 it should be fine off the standard BEC.

some people run the 25mm fan in 2wd and mill out the heatsink slighty so the fan sits semi-inside the heatsink so it fits under low shells.

I have a much more fan on order anyway, my main question is do you just slide it in or screw it in? From what i can see it holds well but can only reach on one side, which is just two screws....

Cheers guys.

Muchmore 30mm fan, you screw it on, you dont need the washers if you want it more low profile, 2 screws is plenty strong.

my 30mm MMR fan came with screws and spacers. its right, there is no thread in the heatsink, just grooves.. the screws just push into them.. its a bit naff in my opinion. My original fan broke so i bought fiver MMR ones from Hong Kong. i even bought the little finger guards so i dont cut my fingers off...
