Default Shock tops

Does anyone do an upgraded shock top o ring of any type?

I never know how much to tighten them up. They seems to either leak or the o ring bulges out if too tight.

Thanks

How can you see the oring bulging out, it's completely retained between body and cap? You sure you have it in the right place?

Yeah this happens if you don't oil the I rings up what I did was take a knife and run it around the inside of the cap to create a slight chamfer on the inside the o ring has some ware to seat never had a bulge since and you can tighten all the way down.

Never had problems with the plastic shock caps. They don't leak, and in a big crash they rip off without ruin the housing threads = expensive

Same here, just put a chamfer on the inside of the cap, I don't know why there isn't one to start with as the small bore shock caps come with a chamfer for the O ring moulded in
