Default xx4 WC & xxx4G

Hi Guys,

I have both these cars now, was thinking in few months swapping over to the X5 SQ
But which car is best to use, I know on DMS racing they have upgrades for both, but price diff is amazing.

The most of the cars ive seen in pics look just like the XX4 WC layout.

Thanks

The price difference is because the X5 is based on the xx4 so uses more donor parts in the conversion. So the xx4 conversion has to have new towers, wishbones, bulkhead, toe in blocks etc etc, all of which you'd already have if you have a xx4.

I think Dan means the XXX4 conversion in the part I made bold above. Dan's right, the X - 5 is based on the xx4 and we only offer a conversion for the xxx4 because people ask. The price difference in the kits represents the cost of the (many) additional Losi parts we have to provide.

Yes, from a cost perspective, starting with a xx-4 (any motel) is far cheaper than starting with a xxx-4. If you have a xx-4, you want the K012 Conversion Kit. If you have a xxx-4, you want the K003. Either way, at the end you will have the exact same car.

The car is fine as is,
i would recommend the following in no particular order as funds allow,
Carbon fibre front and rear shock tower braces
Carbon fibre rear tower brace for the camber link mounts.
Carbon fibre steering link.

All available as one kit from DMS.

Would also suggest the x factory upgraded pivot pin screws for the front wishbones.
A front one way.
XXXcr rear hubs and wishbones

hope this helps

No one has mentioned this, but the #1 thing for all X - 5s, + xx-4s is the caster block screws. Far more important than any other mod, they will save your front arms repeatedly and are not nuch more than a pair of arms. Once they save an arm, you're even, and on the third arm you're ahead!

Not to mention finishing 3 races where you would have DNFed.
