I have s bus on my 9xr, with the x8r receiver. I'm intending to fpv from the cotside! Lol. On a plus point I love the planning & building model stuff.

Ah, I didn't realise the s bus was compatible just by changing the receiver. Oh well lol.
Iv started my youngest at 18 months watching Quadcopter vids and watching the hubsan.

Start them young and then you have an excuse to go flying as a joint hobby when there older lol.

His elder brother and sister have no interest what so ever lol.

Well time for another quick update.

Now purchased all my fpv gear and await the install.

Currently have

2 x Immersion vtx600mw transmitters - 1 for Tbs and 1 for the 550
an Immersion 5800 receiver should I wish to use a monitor -
A pair of Fatshark attitude goggles
2 x Ibcrazy antennas - although I may have the wrong ones
Fat shark battery - why they don't come with a battery I don't know lol.
Tripod - spare from my slr setup.
3s lipos - previously from the 330 quad used to power up the 5800
1000mah 3s lipo for the gimbal on the 550 - will trial it.
Go pro black - lovely xmas pressie
Various ubecs lol.
Another Taranis enroute.

Just need some time and probably Mikes expertise and were good to go lol.

Funnily enough no lol. However a more worrying part is my little lad took a shine to the nicely blue coated aerials and now they have disappeared.

Hopefully they have not been flushed down the toilet..

Well I decided play with the big boys now and sold the disco.

Decided I wanted a gimbal on my tbs and provisionally was looking at 3d printed gimbal parts and purchase another tarot for the disco. In the end I watched a load of vids on what they call the ghetto gimbal and decided to just cut my losses, sell the disco rtf ( only had 2 or 3 flights in her lol ) and buy a disco pro.

Fabulous looking machines and the gimbal is amazing quality. links here to a disco pro if anyone hasn't seen one.

I sold the original disco rtf with new dji 2212's and the optos esc's and with a naza v2. I was originally going to sell frame only as I also have a tbs deadcat clone that I could have powered up with the electrics but I had a buyer who wanted it almost rtf.

Purchased another v2 and went all out and bought the tbs bulletproof esc's and the tbs t motors which are 900kvs. Not cheap but iv seen mikes and the whole black stealth looks looks like a proper machine.

Im awaiting a nice day for the buyer to collect and am currently building up my pro as we speak.
