I am wondering why you would want to make the steering link heavier, as this will make it slower(slightly), well making any moving part heavier goes against the norm.

having said that, I think I will need to order as I need a new steering rack

As some people have broke the stranded one and I have been asked on several occasions to make a alloy or carbon one and it seemed a good idea to incorporate this in a weight. As for the steering speed I don’t really think it will affect it at all really as most servos bang out around 7kg of torque. Also adding weight to any car in theory should slow it down but has been proven time and time again it normally makes it faster.

Nice parts brother. I'll take the fact that you have watermarked your web site address into your images as a hint that you would like me to get a move on and get your web site sorted?
