Default Aircraft Transmitter

Hi all,

I've recently swapped the sticks in my old JR PROPO PCM9X transmitter so that the left stick now returns to centre and the right stick is stepped on the vertical axis. I have a Spektrum DM9 module in the transmitter and I have ordered an OrangeRx R610V2 receiver from HobbyKing for use in the car.

Is there any reason I should not be using this setup? (rules/it's just a really dumb idea). I've come from RC flight as you may guess from this post :P

Future plans for this transmitter are a mechanical switch of some kind that would allow me to change the setup so that it can be easily switched between land and air mode.

If it works for you there's no reason not to. It is not uncommon. Unlike the old MHz systems there are no legal constraints on what encoding technique can be used for what application (land/air etc) so there is no problem there.
