Will it work to have the kit molded blocks in the position like in mossys setup? Rear low and front high. Or do i need the alu blocks?

Has anybody tried the gear diffs into the setups?
The quality of the mouldings look good.

Anybody tried the gear diffs yet?
Works well for us on the polished wooden floors but disappointed at them leaking.
Anyone else have the same problem?

We tired them on astro, no leaking at all.. very pleased with them. At the temperature we have here in Denmark at the moment (have not seen spring yet and temp. around 10-13 deg. C), we found the 10000 and 5000 setting to stiff, until now we found 5000 front and 2000 rear best, will go for a 3000 in front next time.

I see that the Schuey site says that 7000wt oil is a good all round starting point for astro but it would be good if there could be some more info on this.
The point of leaking could be down to the diff being overfilled, some guidelines on this would also be helpful, maybe another video.

I run 7000 front and 3000 rear works great but have not tested on loose dirt yet but it feels like it should work

Hi spud31,

I'm running the k1 on polished wood, this is my setup at the moment:

Front:

Standard small bore pistons, with 30wt oil and white core rc springs.
Shocks mounted in the middle on the tower and inside on the wishbone. Running 15deg of caster. 1 dink link mount, no spacers underneath. Zero toe and -1.5deg camber. Gear diff with 10k, though tempted to go down to 7.5k

Rear:
Red pistons, 30wt oil, core rc red springs. Middle hole on tower, outside on wishbone. Silver anti roll bar. 3dink mount with 4mm spacers underneath stud, middle hole on hub. Std toe, -1.5deg camber. Wishbone on low roll centre, with 3deg anti squat. Gear diff with 10k oil, though tempted to try 7.5k

Cells in forward position position with alloy chassis.

Toying with running the carbon chassis, but not 100% convinced convincedabout this for polished wood due to the weight loss...?

Hope that helps.

Richard

Running yellow mini-spikes - so long as the floor is clean and not too dusty the more worn they are they better.

long wheel base and 2mm spacing on ackerman plate
I ran 30g plate under each battery which improved it.
