Oswestry 2wd Regional 17th August
Hi all
So who is coming? Im also after some feedback on the 4wd track what did you all think? If anyone has any questions feel free to ask. A |
Are you going to win ashley:confused:
|
Even though i plan on building the track and knowing the track like the back of m hand and knowing where all the bumps are etc ill still proberly find away of crashing and ending up not winning. An A final would be nice.......
And a bloody miracle:p:p:p A |
As per my other thread, would love a few of you to run 4wd too, despreately need practice (Did the chassis and front suspension of my car after 1 lap of practice today, so kind of short of running!!)
|
Assuming the club will run a 4WD heat, Callum and I will be in it.
|
me too:thumbsup:
|
i dont think we will have a problem with it. better book in with phil or stuart though.
|
I havn't raced on the track since the mods took place. so i am looking forward to it. Just hope the weather is nice.
|
have we got an entry list yet??
|
I've asked Phil if a 4wd heat is ok, fingers crossed!
Also wondering how the 4wd championship ended up, had a nightmare first/last round so may be losing my F3  |
wont be attending this weekend, so you will have to count me out.(family issues)
not even sure ive done enough rounds to count anything so guess i will be going F4 for next year ... |
Wouldn't your national standing give you an f grading ??
Anyone know if it will be possible to camp the night before? |

21.4.1 From the NATIONAL SERIES:- F1 and F2 licence grades will be allocated on a percentage basis as follows: the number of drivers that satisfy the points scoring requirements of the National Series will be used as the base figure. FORMULA 1 – The top 33% of the base figure is used against the final series’ results to determine the F1 drivers. (2WD and 4WD separately) FORMULA 2 – The next 17% of the base figure is used against the final series’ results to determine the F2 drivers. (2WD and 4WD separately) 21.4.2 From the REGIONAL SERIES:- Regional formulae will be allocated on a percentage basis as follows: the number of drivers that satisfy the point scoring requirements for a Region’s particular Series will be used as the base figure. Any drivers included in this base figure, that have gained their licence from the National Series of the current year (F1, F2 and demoted F1) will be subtracted from the base figure to give an adjusted base figure on which the calculations will be based. It follows that Regional licence grades can only be established when the results of the National Championship are finalised. FORMULA 2 - The top 20% of the adjusted base figure is used against the final series’ results to determine the F2 drivers. (2WD and 4WD) FORMULA 3 - The next 30% of the adjusted base figure is used against the final series’ results to determine the F3 drivers. (2WD and 4WD) FORMULA 4 - The next 30% of the adjusted base figure is used against the final series’ results to determine the F4 drivers. (2WD and 4WD) FORMULA 5 - The final 20% of the adjusted base figure is used against the final series’ results to determine the F5 drivers (2WD and 4WD). |
It pains me to say it, but Wraggy's right. :p
Only an F1 or F2 grade can be acheived at Nationals. And because the calculations for Regional grades takes into account anyone acheive said F1/2 at Nationals, we can't award F2/3/4 grades at Regionals until the Nationals series has been completed. @ DaveG / Griff / Doom / Ash: A 4WD heat should be OK... Even better if you can get atleast 8 drivers.. Currently interested for 4WD heat Ashley Williams Andy Griffiths Dave Gibson Dooooom Hodges Callum Hodges Me (possibly) Anymore, please e-mail me entries in the normal way. |

It was pretty piss poor to have 55 drivers booked in for East Shrewsbury, and only 35 turn up. :eh?: |
yer that was abit poo :P but good for my points :p hehe
phil we got a current entry list please |
Looking at the forcast it looks like it may be a wet mornin for oswestry.
we would therefore like to offer the use of the indoor pitting again for this meeting to any that decide they want to. mains power is extremely limited so use of gennies and 12vs will still be required. |

we could've emailed you at 4am on sunday morning when we realised we couldn't go, but would you have read that? i don't think so. I think asking Doddy to cancel our entry was the best we could do considering. Probably best if you don't include us two in that list you're slagging off |

Thanks Mike, I was going to ring Jeff tonight about the pitting.. As for the entry list, I'll post it later tonight. |
haha yer i havent been able to tlk to jeff for the last week i fink. if there are any other questions just ask.
as for the camping i dont see a problem with it just need to make sure before i say ok. |

That comment was aimed at all the dirvers that didnt turn up, not just you Mark.. I just find it difficult to understand how people can enter meetings 2-3 days before and then cancel/no show on the day. It's becoming a regular for so many drivers in our region, do they not understand what goes into organising these meetings.... |
Quote:
how about a more official way of entering a meeting? rather than just emailing you? (like the way Worksop are doing it?) i remember that being the way we all used to enter meetings (granted, that was before the joys of the internet and oOple) |
GAYS

you love it |
As far as I'm aware the central booking system was voted in a few years back and has run very succesfully for atleast 3 years.
If drivers would prefer to pay up front for meetings when they submit entries via post, then they are more than welcome. The regional AGM will be openly advertised to all drivers, so that the Regional rep position can be filled by the best person for the job. The new rep can then discuss with the host clubs what entry method would suit them best. It's hoped the regional AGM will be before the National AGM so the new rep has a chance to meet the committee before the national committee meetings start in Nov '08 Any willing volunteers for the Regional Rep position can e-mail/speak to me, so I can give you details of what is involved. |
i take it from that, that your stepping down Phil ???

come on phil you know you can't call it an AGM, more like a dads'r'us gathering!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thought mossy was your bitch for next year! |
I canceled my entry for east shrewsbury the night before i would of cancelled it earlier but i was on holiday and didnt come back until saturday night.
