Truggy meetings on 26th Oct?

I NEED to race on the 26th - Crompy said the next pendle meeting was then but apparently it's not so anyone know where I can go to race on the 26th? I prefer dirt and I prefer jumps but anywhere is good as long as there's a bit of competition and it's definitely ON!

clunk 14-10-2008 08:58 PM

hi jimmy, it may be a bit of a drive for you, but try snrc, http://www.stoke-nitro.co.uk/s.n.r.c/index.html

its not dirt, but the best new astro track around, go onto their forum and see the track with its new extension:thumbsup:

small table tops, doubles, triples, larger table top, raised table top corner, moguls, they have it all. superb drainage and 10mins drive off the m6.

jimmy 14-10-2008 09:06 PM

Thanks mate, that track looks pretty cool. I'll definitely consider that one.

dave g 14-10-2008 09:18 PM

deerdale is on this sunday too jimmy :)

jimmy 14-10-2008 09:35 PM

:( going to worksop this weekend....... or.... am i!?! hmmmmmm. I must race mi truggy for this review, so maybe it's an option.

jimmy 14-10-2008 10:02 PM

Anyone going to this Deerdale place on sunday then?

dave g 14-10-2008 10:19 PM

should be a decent turnout,me and bruce will be there, bondy might be there?

jimmy 14-10-2008 10:27 PM

Bondy is a superstar of 10th electric now, didn't he tell you? It would be great to beat him on his home track but sadly I don't think he's up for it. :woot:

Is deerdale just a turn up and book-in type affair? I am not sure which way to go yet - worksop or deerdale & finish review.

jimmiprice 15-10-2008 08:03 AM

Im off to deerdale this sunday. I have always been a fan of deerdale and with the new jumps and rhythm section they put in last month its even better, its probably the best astro track in the country at the minute. I know you said you prefer dirt tracks jimmy but with our unpredictable weather astro is the choice for a good days racing with no worry of it bein called off or gettin up to the eyes in mud!
Jimmi...

jimmy 15-10-2008 09:19 AM

yeah I wanted dirt for some nice photos but also because I know my tyres will at least work - I'm not really sure how they'll do on wet astro and I don't really have 50 quid spare to throw at some new ones at the moment. :woot:

jimmiprice 15-10-2008 10:01 AM

What tyres do you have ?
Also what truck or offset are the wheels, i could lend you some if yours arent that suitable.
Jimmi..

jimmy 15-10-2008 10:24 AM

I've got some JConcepts goose bumps - dirt tyres basically. They were fine if I'm honest at pendle last week - not amazing in the mud or anything but I was no slower than anyone else.
They are zero off set on a Tamiya truggy if I can make it along on sunday and start skating about like a maniac in the rain then for sure any help would be appreciated!

jimmy 20-10-2008 10:27 AM

Looks like I'm back to 26th Oct. Is stoke the only place on? I know it's the AGM that day.
My spares didn't arrive in time to race at deerdale this sunday gone so I had to miss it. I had a look at the track on saturday and it looked alright tho. :woot:

Northy 20-10-2008 10:30 AM

The 26th is a special day..... :eh?:

jimmy 20-10-2008 10:40 AM

The day after my birthday?
:woot:
We'll just have to be muddy :( This is the last chance I have to race the thing before december!:bored:

dave g 20-10-2008 02:44 PM

stoke is astroturf jimmy if i recall

dave

Answer-RC-Pete 20-10-2008 02:48 PM

Yep - Stoke is Astro but very nice with it - Ive not run on the new track which is a fair bit larger and looks cool.

jimmy 20-10-2008 02:49 PM

as long as it's running I'll take it :woot:

dave g 20-10-2008 02:51 PM

Check out the threads within the Nitro Off road section on this forum.

One says NORC Winter series dates and the NNRC 26th October.

Both these have links

dave g 25-10-2008 04:57 PM

soooooo..wheres everyone going?

jimmy 25-10-2008 05:21 PM

I've still not decided :bored: had a blast with the truck today to make sure it's all good to go - just gotta think now.

dave g 25-10-2008 05:23 PM

weve narrowed it down to stoke or nnrc :)

jimmy 25-10-2008 05:26 PM

is nnrc dirt and stoke astro? I'd probably prefer the dirt but depends if it's hammering it down I guess

Mrs oOple 25-10-2008 05:46 PM

I'd prefer whichever one has some help on standby for Jimmy :) Because I'm not much of a pitbitch when it comes to nitro madness. Also somewhere that we can easily get to York afterwards.

dave g 25-10-2008 06:07 PM

im glad you put pit infront of bitch vicky :)

well hopefully i will speak to bruce later tonight and see whats happening, ideally jimmy needs to be going where we are for some help incase he gets stuck...sorry when he gets stuck haha

Mrs oOple 25-10-2008 08:18 PM

Do you know where you are going yet? any addresses etc? need to do some last minute planning madness.probably need to get away around 2pm, so everyone will need to drive a bit faster.

dave g 25-10-2008 08:25 PM

wont know till around midnight, thats if bruce logs on msn then, as hes gone to york tonight.

jimmy 25-10-2008 08:47 PM

I'm thinking Stoke at the moment - couldnt get on the nnrc website, it doesn't work for me :bored:

buggy man 25-10-2008 08:52 PM

oh and forgot to say all sponsored by cml/fastrax

and a butty van on too

buggy man

dave g 25-10-2008 09:42 PM

i think stokes the good bet, even if it pisses it down it drains well and doesnt get waterlogged as its on a slope and the pitting area is good ground..and the butty van tips it for me :)

bondy 25-10-2008 09:47 PM

Sunny

shhhh its going to be sunny !

Im definatly in the wrong job ! the best job surely is a weather man or whatever they call them now ? Cos even if you get it totaly wrong no one gives a toss! cant controll the weather can we so why the hell do we need them ???
