_sleigh_ 04-04-2007 05:32 PM

Not sure about that, I'm sure Green is the new Blue

Bathy 04-04-2007 05:43 PM

That looks well nice, sexy design, you paint the wheels as well or find somewhere sellling black ones?

Body Paint 04-04-2007 05:46 PM

I'm sure green has always been green :o :D

Theres a lot to be said for a simple paint job IMO

I do like that JC, even the HUGE sticker on the roof looks good.

jasonrcb 04-04-2007 05:55 PM

thats a well impressive paint job

Yeah, totaly agree, plus a two colour job is far harder to pull off and look good, and that one looks ace.

Northy 04-04-2007 06:34 PM

Looks ace! :)

jcb 04-04-2007 06:46 PM

So you finally found time to make your own S4, looks really good.

Garry D.

DCM 05-04-2007 06:19 PM

black wheels are ace, but find them hard to drive with, lol

strobe 05-04-2007 07:48 PM

Awsome Job there JC.
Don't scratch it on the weekend.

OldTimer 05-04-2007 10:01 PM

I guess it will be scratched after the 1st round lol.

With orange hubs i think that would be a tad to much orange :D or maybe just orange at the front and black at the rear ?

strobe 06-04-2007 06:13 AM

On the front of your S4 Jonathan you are running 2wd tyres. Have you trimmed the wheels to make them narrower or do you leave the 4wd wheels as they are.
Had any more orders for the S4 and is the conversion kit nearly done. May have a couple of orders for conversion Kits.
Mark

OldTimer 06-04-2007 09:13 AM

Hi Mark, i just put the slim mini's straight on no trimming, used them all of last year, same grip as a 4wd minispike front but they feel a little less aggressive.

Hopefully the conversion kit will be ready for the end of the month, but there is going to be a very limited supply of them.

A:D :o

Jonathan.
Did like the look of yours and Craig's S4 on Sunday. Black wheels are the way to go.
What's the chance of Chris Doughty having black wheels on his S4.

Chris Doughty 16-04-2007 02:12 PM

mine would only have black wheels on it for photos.

if I drive for more than a minute with black wheels I will end up taking a corner off it by clipping the track markings :p

jimmy 16-04-2007 02:16 PM

Great drive this weekend Chris, Jonathan must be pleased!

Chris Doughty 16-04-2007 02:36 PM

it all went really well, I think he is pleased... I am...

I could sniff the win after leg 2 though, shame I could not get the break in leg 3 :p

OldTimer 16-04-2007 03:33 PM

Chris is a Daz automatic white wheel man :D am a Cillit Bang wheel man, in the words of Barry Scott "Bang and the car has gone" normally on its roof.

Yep excellent result, the aim was to get the car into the A which Chris did  and to get it into the top 3 was sweet.

Should be a really interesting meeting at Kiddy.

strobe 16-04-2007 07:27 PM

Jonathan.
There were a few S4's racing at the first 4wd Natonal on the weekend.
Mine ran with no Failures or breakages all day. Did the other S4's that raced have any problems.

P.S. Do you have any of those Delrin front wishbones left. If not could you order me a set please.

Mark

Mark

Jonathan Brown had a couple of hiccups (but still put it in the D) but all other team cars and customer S4's ran without any problems, and speaking to everyone they were all very happy with the performance of there cars ;)

The only setup change i made all day was to lower the ride height a tad, then just change cells and tyres.

The new wishbones are still under test but drop me a email.

Thomas P 22-08-2007 04:39 PM

Mr Oldtimer, sorry to interupt you, but i have a Q or 2.

i can se the diff vs the BJ4WE, but what is the diffrence ? does it handle rough tracks better than the BJ4WE?, please let me know the + and -, and why i should buy the conversion from you, insted of running the BJ4

Best regards Thomas P

(btw, damn nice setup there)

lazerboy 25-08-2007 01:02 AM

andy05 27-08-2007 02:51 AM

standard servo fits fine. The car is worth every penny, it jumps better than any car ive seen virtually not matter what you do it lands flat.Ive improved alot since i got mine:cool: .Jonathans cutsomer service is superb aswell

Thomas P 27-08-2007 04:05 AM

Yepp Andy, noticed that :D, he is real nice. I care less for the money if the service is state of the art, and what ive been reading, i think the S4 wil fit me 101% :) .
