Don't worry too much if it looks bad, or get too excited if it looks great. This date is still a long way from now and anything could change. Be sure to check back soon.

ADVANCED NOTICE

I have been in contact with Kidderminster club, regarding the current weather situation at the track. I have been informed the track is definately OK as it stands NOW. :)

Another track inspection will take place tomorrow..

Our main aim is to run the meeting as planned, but we are simply being mindful of the forecast for tonight/tomorrow

So........

Will all drivers that have entered this weekends Regional at Kidderminster, please keep a watchful eye on this thread tomorrow. I will be updating the track/weather status at around mid-day tomorrow.

Please do NOT take this as the meeting will be cancelled just yet!!!! Any decision will be taken tomorrow.

During the course of last night the Kidderminster track has received heavy rain.

Paul Worsley has been and inspected the track about an hour ago, and it has standing water on most areas.

He is going to make another inspection at 5pm tonight and I will send an updated e-mail out at that point.

Should the meeting need to be cancelled I will e-mail everyone and of course update the popular R/C forums (www.doughtyuk.net & www.oople.com )

Please check your e-mail or the above forums this evening for the latest update.

Many Thanks

Phil Sleigh

Mid-West Regional Rep.

Meeting Cancelled!!!

MEETING CANCELLED

Due the ever worsening weather, the Kidderminster Regional tomorrow has been cancelled.

Rescheduling possibilities are being looked into and more details will be published in the next few days.

Many apologies for the slightly late decision, but the track inspections have been happen throughout the day and the hope was it would improve. Unfortunately not.

Please see the attached photos of the track today.

sods law, apart from a 5 minute shower first thing this morning its been dry all day in worcester:(

CharlieF 01-07-2007 05:25 PM

Yes Chris. Same story in Holbeach unfortuneately; because of all the bad weather and worse forecasts we only had 12 drivers brave the blistering sunshine we had today on the dry grass track at Anglia Motel for our 4WD regional!
Who was it that said it always rains in Holbeach?

emzy 01-07-2007 05:27 PM

York... cloudy, sunny intervals... until midway through the C final. And down it came. Rain, hail, thunder, lightning. Have a look at the photos on the York thread - it was IMMENSE. Seriously, I've never seen hail that big before.

IceMike 01-07-2007 09:11 PM

is there any word then on what is goin to happen this year now. cos we have now lost 2 4wd meetings almost a total season destroyer

losixxx 10-07-2007 02:55 PM

Slimboyfat 11-07-2007 04:36 PM

yeah c'mon Phil what can be done? I'm almost ready to go now aswell and might even score enough points if they are re run!

IceMike 11-07-2007 04:54 PM

thought phil was on holiday for a few days still

_sleigh_ 11-07-2007 05:05 PM

That's what I thought :o

Slimboyfat 11-07-2007 05:07 PM

not a chance. A Mid West Rep never has holidays.

ashleyb4 21-07-2007 11:27 AM

GRIFF55 21-07-2007 11:42 AM
