hi phil, have tried e-mailing you on the '[email protected]'
but it keeps failing. can you please cancel my entry for this sunday,as i no longer have a car. many thanks,

_sleigh_ 07-08-2007 06:34 PM

Yeah sure no problem Mick.

andy reeves 07-08-2007 08:53 PM

should be a good meeting, just hope the weather is fair for everyone unlike at stoke, i had it work for me and against me during the day :p

_JP_ 07-08-2007 10:29 PM

I hope we all have a good days racing, and that we make the track to the usual marston standards :D

I do have a small request from Goodridge.

I spoke to the grounds keeper today and the football season starts sunday, they have 2 matches on when we are racing.

OK WE must only pit on the bank/car park and must not park cars on the flat of the football pitch, we really don't want to loose the venue.

Can I ask that we all park away from the track, we have a lot of drivers and not that much space if we keep cars there, as most of you know we have a big car park. I know its a pain to drop your tent/equipment and move the car, and know its not ideal but we would really appreciate it if you did this, and its not a problem at other venues like stoke where we don't park on the grass.

I am aiming to have the gates open at 6.45-7 by security and the toilets from the same time. Club house will be open at 12 for anyone who wants to by the Race Director a pint ;)

If any one is local sat at about 1 any help setting out saturday would also be appreciated.

Thank you.

losixxx 09-08-2007 05:02 PM

jas
can we run PT's ??

GRIFF55 09-08-2007 05:23 PM

Is the car park far away, as i usually pit out of the back of my jeep?
No Tent (its a work in progress:) )

_JP_ 09-08-2007 06:44 PM

PT's yes

There are 2 car parks, they have fenced it off and made it a bit of a pain, we will have to see how it goes!

ashleyb4 10-08-2007 09:33 PM

Looks like we will be needing BB greens. It would be nice to have a dry 4wd meeting.

Dom save me a set if its wet.

Hi Phil,

Just checked on the website and it still shows rescheduled for kiddy. DO you know if there will be any more rounds or are we done on 4wd now?

Also, thanks for loking at the motor today, as far as I can see it has the endbell from the new Peak motor which is approved on it but there is nothing on the list for an Orion version, have you any idea if the orion version is going to be submitted?

Dave

_sleigh_ 12-08-2007 07:16 PM

Kiddy meeting... I'm in the process of arranging the rescheduled date. hopefully I'll know more tonight.

If this does get rescheduled, then the series will be best 3 from 4. If not, then it will be best 2 from 3.

I've double check your motor, and it is on the latest list. think it's 4th down on the list.

Are spectators welcome?

DaveG28 12-08-2007 07:24 PM

Ah is that what the "relieved can mounting" means? Is it ok being a black endbell instead of grey?

ashleyb4 12-08-2007 08:23 PM

Yea spectators are welcome at all events.

Yeah that's fine... theres a rule that acknowledges that endbell colours may vary. thats fine as long as the design is the same, which it is..

Thanks to every one who turner up to race today :)
Track was awesome, with some good amount of effort from Yardy and the Tinsley's I did abit but more donkey work!

Stu helped loads on the computer, and I think we both learnt loads again, with out Stuart helping out I don't think I could have raced, thx :D

Thanks for everyone's effort helping to put the track away, that really helps us loads!

See you next sunday!

Talking about regionals, we don't have to run all the meetings before the EOS finals do we, we could still run kiddy in sept/Oct :)

I really need another 4wd round :)

ashleyb4 12-08-2007 09:45 PM

Personally i would preffer ot go to dudley than kiddy im sick of kiddy now ive raced there so much.

Funny you should mention that.

well done to all the team at Marston. Track was really good fun to race on. Had heat problems in round 4 and the final but that was my own fault for not checking the gearing  Was having a good final till that point when there was 4 of us all trying for the win.

Personally for me it was nice to be able to go out and just drive rather than the car not really doing what i want it to. Looking forward to Kiddy as i will be running a new car at that meeting

Jonny_H 13-08-2007 12:15 PM

My thanks as well to everyone involved in organising - the track was good to race on, with some nice 'friendly' jumps.

Just one request for next year: could the club invest in a lawnmower that collects the cut grass (and leaves)? I effectively lost both practice and Round 1 due to a rear wheel being full of grass, and therefore dragging and making the car dive to one side off-throttle - not fun. Once the track swept clean it was a really nice surface.

DaveG28 13-08-2007 05:25 PM

Just wanted to add to the thanks, had a great day and liked the track.

Personally loved driving in the damp as well, brilliant fun being able to powerslide everywhere!

markwilliamson2001 13-08-2007 06:01 PM

Another smoothly run meeting by the Marston club. Thanks must go to JP and Stuart Whyman for keeping the computer going and putting up with those of us running PT's  (thanks guys!).

Good track as ever, with well thought out features with non-damaging track markers. It was also not a power track which is good for regional and club drivers.

Did anyone else think that the back section with the hump jump absolutely nails to get consistently right throughout the meeting? Was a good challenge though...

Pity to see the 'Magic Smoke' make an appearance again although my Novak Brushless never missed a beat (thank god). Looking forward to Kiddy now, should be excellent.

I think the marston regional was one of the best ones ive been to i find marston to be a really good host club it would be nice to see marston have a national soon.

I loved all of the track except for the corner coming onto the straigh where i started to grip role it.

The best part of the weekend was beating doom.:D

Also brian my outdrives held out.

I agree with you there ash, the only thing that puts me off is the fact that there is no toilet avilable all day long!

Doomanic 13-08-2007 06:29 PM

Well run meeting as usual, but it seems that Marston is my bogey track.:(

Hmm, which is worse?
Me getting beaten by Ash at Marston, or Ash getting beaten by Callum at his home track?:D

ashleyb4 13-08-2007 06:32 PM

You getting beaten by me. Im quiet happy now after my result yesterday im quiet high up that standings overall now.

I dont mind being beaten by callum as i had some major problems that day and it was the first time i had driven my xx4 off road.
