2WD - Final Round - Coventry - 19th August

I know most of you have only just got home from the 4WD meeting today, but the next meeting is now only a little over 6 days away.

That's purely down to numbers. If there is enough to make up a heat, then YES. but if I get load of 4WD then I will have to restrict it on first come first served.

Just been asked by the Coventry club to let everyone know Hot Food will be available between 8am and 2pm this Sunday....

Weather forecast for Sunday seems to be changing all the time, but atleast it's looks promising at the moment.

Metcheck shows a mostly cloudy day, but only a little rain early on. Not keen on the 15mph winds though, as Baggington isn't a very freindly place in the wind........

Hopefully we can have a dry weekend! The way this weather is going I don’t think any of the forecasters really know what’s going to happen :D

Whats the likelyness that it will be cancelled if its wet does the astro track drain well and does the pit area drain well.

Meeting wont get cancelled... :o

Track is pretty good at draining, and the club are very used to clearing standing water.

The astro is still very drivable when wet.

As for the pitting area, there is a massive car park that is all hard-standing, and the grass area is normally very good when it rains.


Forecast looks OK for tomorrow, although they're expecting a reasonable amount of rain overnight.

It started raining as we were finishing about 2 hours ago, but the ground drains a little better than the astroturf track.

The gate will be open from 0730 so try not to get there before then please.

Oh ace grass i love grass thanks brian. Ive only just put my 10 turn in i think is coming out again now.

What silly time in the morning are you having to set off for this one mate?

I was looking forward to the astro :( If the weather in Coventry is like it is in Shrewsbury then we will need an outboard motor by morning.

Not too bad, 4AM!! Might go out tonight and just leave when i get in;) .

Wow what a day fantastic track loved it had a good laugh didnt break anything just knocked a motor wire off over the tripples but it was ace. Had a really good result to i quallified 9th in the E and finished 5th.

Great day, just a bit of a crappy end with the heavy rain coming down during the Finals.

Todays results and overall championships results will be posted on the regional site over the next couple of days. My main PC is disconnected while I paint the study...
