Help / favour needed

After cleaning the Batley track yesterday I got to Leeds and fell over and have broken my wrist

It was a clean break and hopefully should be quite uncomplicated but i'll be in plaster for 6 weeks which means I can't drive

I'm taking my tranny to the fracture clinic tomorrow so I can make sure I can drive (model car) with it but am basically looking for lifts racing for a while. Off the top of my head I'm thinking last Worksop round, indoor finals and first national being the important ones. I'll also not be able to marshal :(

This takes ages to write with 1 finger :)

footey 10-03-2008 09:08 AM

if im at any of the race meetings dan { indoor finals and poss national if i get in } then i will gladly marshal for u dan:thumbsup: cant do worksop though as not gonna be there

Chrislong 10-03-2008 09:46 AM

Sorry to hear about your wrist Dan, chin up dude.

Last Worksop round mate, I will be there for something like 4am due to the boxing the night before - we need to build track in the morning. But could pick you up on the way, you'll be well early and you'd not be able to help, but let me know. I won't be offended if you say no as somebody can pick you up at a more reasonable time.

First national is Kiddy... if you want to leave your table with me after Worksop and perhaps chair, it'll be easier for somebody to pick you up such as Vermin?

super__dan 10-03-2008 09:52 AM

Ref the national I thought the same thing!

I have 2 people i hope can help me out but am hoping they offer as don't want them to feel obliged. When is next worksop and indoor finals. Diary is in work, which I won't be for a while :(

Richard Lowe 10-03-2008 09:58 AM

Plenty of room in my car if you need a lift Dan :)

Next Worksop is the 23rd.

Northy 10-03-2008 10:01 AM

Dan,

If there is anything that I can do to help, just let me know. :)

I done that to my left wrist after a motorbike I was riding suddenly had an attack of vertigo and promptly fell over, problem was it was at 25mph. It hurts dude, but if they do a good cast, driving isn't impossible, especialy when the pain subsides.

Get well soon fella!!

It's not the physics but I won't be insured with it on as I wont be in full control of the vehicle. Have been warned to expect the book thrown at me if i was caught.

DCM 10-03-2008 01:39 PM

aaaah, what a bummer dude. At least you get a rest now lol

peetbee 10-03-2008 01:55 PM

Spencer Mulcahy 10-03-2008 02:43 PM

Sorry to hear about the break mate!

If there is anything me or the bulk can do, just give us a shout.

We cant make it to the regional finals (wedding), but if we get in to the nats im sure me or craig could give you a lift.

Haha, would that make you feel better?

Hope it gets better soon Dan... is it your writing hand?

I'd offer to marshall for you but A) I'm a rubbish at it and would get you extra penalties... an B)... I'm a bit far away... sorry mate!

Lee 11-03-2008 09:55 PM

Hey, its the thought that counts, if you need anything dan give me a shout i pretty much have to pass you to go anywhere:)

Is that the polite example?!?! haha!

Can come in the elise if you want, although we might only be able to watch as we wouldnt get much gear in the boot!!

Use Michelles car for the travelling most of the time, otherwise I just go with Craig

I really wish the boot was bigger in the elise, with all the travelling we do travelling to the nats it would be great to be able to clock up some miles in it

super__dan 12-03-2008 09:19 AM

Well seems I might have a complication and need to be pulled to bits and wired or pinned or something. If its VERY bad I'll find out today, if just bad (or good) next Tuesday. :(

Lee 12-03-2008 09:30 AM

Good luck dan, :)

Chrislong 12-03-2008 09:44 AM

Oh no, bad news mate. Hope the complication is a false alarm and it doesn't need to be pinned. :(

Richard Lowe 12-03-2008 11:07 AM

Ouch, get well soon Danneth :)

ashleyb4 12-03-2008 11:08 AM

oops dan hope you dont have to have it pinned if you do ask if they can use some nortec bling.

LOL, but no :(

Doctor just rang, what ever this extra complication he thought he saw isn't/wasn't after his consultant saw it so we're back to leaving it till next week's Xray.

Annoyingly they've had to set the writst at an angle so can't actually hold a tranny normally. However if someone can lend me a neck strap I could drive still :)

If anyone is going to Batley club meeting this sunday and is coming my way (Castleford) can I get a lift, no racing kit, just me.

millzy 12-03-2008 11:53 AM

did they have to do the Math for the angle its set at??

glad there is no complications mate
