Dumb question

How do you know which is the left and right on rear hubs? They have no markings...
Thx

From behind as if you were driving

werner1619 12-02-2012 05:19 PM

hehe,
ok, which hub fits on the left and which hub fits on the right?

discostu 12-02-2012 05:25 PM

If they haven't got any markings on them they are probably 0 degree hubs I would check your manual if you haven't got one Google it.

Ok, i think i might be missing something here.
Part: UM519
Description on the tag reads; Type- B (Off - 4.7/RB5)

I thought the description refers to the angle the hub offers? The part has no L or R markings.

What does the description mean?

discostu 12-02-2012 10:37 PM

off set probably

DaSloth 13-02-2012 10:35 AM

yeh thats offset, there's no toe on those so there's no particular side for them go on :)

RogerM 13-02-2012 12:22 PM

It is offset, UM519 isn't handed at all.

werner1619 13-02-2012 07:53 PM

Great, makes sense...
But makes me wonder, does UM519 make the rear narrower?
Or how do I make sense of all the diff hubs?
