Fit of waterfall brace

I'm in the process of making an aluminium gearbox for the B6.3 but have hit a snag and hope that someone who has built one already might be able to guide me in the right direction.

Before making a complete gearbox, I wanted to make sure that it would mate up with the existing chassis and waterfall. So I made a test block as shown on the following facebook page:

The mismatch between the block and the waterfall seems similar to that between the waterfall and the original gearbox.

So what are you good people doing to cope with it?

I suspect that you just bend it until you can get a screw in and just leave it.

I don’t have that problem with the kit gearbox/waterfall - everything seems to align pretty well. This on a 6.2 and 6.4.

Thank you for the reply.

I have looked at the assembly instructions and see that they suggest attaching the waterfall to the gearbox and then attaching the whole thing to the chassis. Doing it that way the mismatch would be less noticeable as it doesn't take much effort to align the holes jn chassis and gearbox.

After it has been assembled for some time the plastic parts will sort themselves out and everything will appear to be aligned.

I've decided to just leave it as it is and see what happens.

Many thanks
